How can I effectively motivate

my first-year vocational high school students

in English class

Being a teacher is always my dream job. As a first-year elementary student, when I saw my headteacher Ms. Tsai teaching up there, I was longing for one day I could be like her teaching the whole class with full of knowledge and elegant. Since then, the teacher dream seed has been planted in my heart yard. The third year in primary school, I started to learn English a language that completely different from mother tone. Looking at the Latin alphabet, I felt a powering of mystery attracting me from the faraway East. At that time, I always wondered what the other side of the world looked like. However, I did not know thirteen years later, I was in the United States pursuing an education master degree.

When I applied for this program, I was busy with the first year teaching and the daily news report in SCUD vocational tech high school at the same time. My job was preparing and teaching basic English and Speech skills courses for eight class students in three different majors. Each class was up to 40 students and had English class once a week. The school that I served was named SCUD vocational tech high school which is funding by a National influence Group companies in China called SCUD Group Companies. The school board decided to build up this vocational high school aiming at to set up a innovatory schools that focus on student leadership and teamwork spirt, and professional capacity. Students from remote poverty area are provided with full fellowship.

Before I started my studying journey in New Literacy and Global Learning program, as a new teacher in SCUD vocational high school, I felt unoriented and unsupported. So I decided to the other degree majoring in education, to better prepare myself as a qualified teacher for my students. This summer is the second year of my first-arrive at the US. I would like to take the chance to say farewell to my graduate study life and embrace the new future. This creative synthesis plans to help my first-year student in SCUD vocational tech schools in their English Class.
